My Journey with Cycling
My personal story would be incomplete without mentioning the sport that has taught me so much about myself.
I began mountain biking in the 9th grade after joining my high school club — the only girl on the team at the time. From there, I fell in love with the sport. I dedicated several years of my life to competing, committed to being the best that I could be. In the end, the hard work paid off: I competed at two World Championships with Team USA, won the 2019 Collegiate National Championship, and have been captain of the Stanford Cycling Team for two years.

The values I’ve gained and the friends that I’ve made through cycling have had lasting effects on all aspects of my life. I’ve learned to persevere through the worst of storms, trails, and races. I’ve learned to lean on my friends for support — whether it be help with a flat tire or the courage to ride a difficult trail. I’ve learned that even the most ambitious goals are possible with dedication and passion.
While I no longer competitively race, you can catch me happy and smiling on a bicycle any day of the week!
